Functional Capacity Evaluations are comprehensive evaluations used to assess an individual’s ability to perform job simulated tasks related to his or her specific job, as well as baseline functional capabilities and tolerances.  The goal is to obtain the worker’s current and maximum functional status in a controlled environment while also documenting any inconsistencies, self-limiting behaviors, or symptom magnification.
