Bill Wombles graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1993.  He then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. He took his first job in the outpatient physical therapy clinic (Healthlink) through Beaufort Memorial Hospital in historic Beaufort, South Carolina. The two and a half years spent there provided Bill with an excellent opportunity to learn and grow as a physical therapist.  In 1998, Bill accepted a position as Program Manager with Gateway Rehabilitation Company in Litchfield, IL. He has spent the last 12 years helping to build the practice into a thriving business with special services of outpatient orthopedics, work hardening and conditioning, functional capacity evaluations, pre-employment testing, and industrial services, such as physical demand analyses and ergonomic analyses.  In 2006, Bill expanded into the ownership side of the business and partnered up with Larry Hawkins to open Gateway Rehabilitation Company—Taylorville (Illinois). Bill continues to broaden his knowledge base by attending continuing education classes as he looks forward to what the future holds in physical therapy.
